Cats War Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and the developer of the game Cats War. By downloading, installing or playing the game, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not play.
1. About These Terms
The game is developed and operated by the individual developer Watermelon Studio ("we", "us"). We are not a large company; the game is made and run by an individual. These Terms describe what you may expect from us and what we expect from you.
These Terms apply together with our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we process and how to have it deleted.
2. The Service
Cats War is a free-to-play real-time strategy game for Android. It can be played entirely on your own device against computer opponents. Optional online features (the Daily Challenge leaderboard, multiplayer matches, and the in-game advertising services) require an internet connection.
The game is free to play, and nothing needs to be bought to enjoy it in full. It also offers a few optional one-time purchases (see section 6). No account registration is required.
3. Your Licence to Play
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play the game on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment.
You may not: sell, rent, sublicense or commercially exploit the game; copy, modify, reverse-engineer or decompile it (except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law); distribute it or any of its assets; or use it in a way that breaks the law.
4. Player Identity and Accounts
The game creates a player number and a device identifier on your device the first time you play. These are random codes and contain no name, email address or phone number. They exist so that leaderboards make sense and so that your meow coin balance cannot be reset by editing local save files.
Signing in with Google Play Games is entirely optional. If you do, we link your Play Games player ID to your player number so that a new phone or a reinstall connects back to the same leaderboard history. You may unlink at any time from the Player Profile screen.
You are responsible for keeping your device secure. Anyone with access to your device can play as you.
5. Cat Coins and In-Game Items
Cat Coins ("meow coins") are earned by playing and are awarded at the end of each match; higher difficulty, longer matches and multiplayer wins pay more. Certain optional purchases change how many coins you earn, or include a one-off grant of coins (section 6).
Cat Coins are a licence, not property. They have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred between players, and are not redeemable outside the game. They are not a deposit or a prepayment.
- Skills are rented, not purchased. A passive skill is rented for 24 hours and an active skill for 3 uses. When the rental period or the use count runs out, the skill expires on its own. It is not a permanent purchase and it never auto-renews or charges you again.
- Cat Coins and skills are tied to your player identity. If you request deletion of your account (see the Privacy Policy), any remaining balance and rented skills are deleted with it and cannot be restored.
- We may adjust coin payouts, prices and skill effects to keep the game balanced. Where a change materially reduces what you have already paid for, we will announce it in-game or on the store listing.
6. Purchases
Cats War is free to play and offers a small number of optional one-time in-app purchases. They are non-consumable packs that you buy once and keep: a pack that permanently removes interstitial ads (and lets you take the after-match double-coin claim without watching an ad), a pack that permanently doubles the meow coins you earn, and a bundle that includes everything, plus a one-off grant of 1000 meow coins and a number of AI avatar creations. There is no subscription, and nothing renews or charges you again.
All transactions are handled by Google Play Billing under Google's terms, and we never receive your card number or payment details. Purchases are made through, and tied to, your Google account. Because Google Play has no automatic "pay the difference" mechanism, if you already own one of the smaller packs the bundle is offered as a separate upgrade purchase that credits what you have already paid, so your total spend for the bundle equals its normal price. Refunds are handled by Google Play according to its refund policy — we cannot issue refunds directly. Where the law gives you a statutory right of withdrawal, that right is not affected by these Terms.
7. Advertising
The game shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob. Ads are optional to interact with: watching a rewarded ad after a match doubles that match's coin payout, and skipping it costs you nothing. If you own the ad-free pack, you take that same double-coin claim without watching an ad, and no interstitial ads are shown to you; for everyone else, interstitial ads appear at most once every three matches.
Advertising is what keeps the game free. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before personalised ads are loaded, and you can refuse. See the Privacy Policy for the data involved and for how to reset your advertising ID.
8. Acceptable Use
Online features are shared with other players. You agree not to:
- cheat, use modified clients, bots, or forged replay files on the Daily Challenge leaderboard, or otherwise falsify a score;
- exploit bugs for advantage instead of reporting them to us;
- choose a nickname or avatar image that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, defamatory, or that impersonates another person or our team;
- harass other players, or disrupt multiplayer matches deliberately (for example by repeatedly disconnecting to avoid a loss);
- attack, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to our servers.
We may remove a leaderboard entry, reset a score, or suspend access to online features if we reasonably believe these rules have been broken. Where it is practical, we will tell you why.
9. Your Content and Other Players
You keep ownership of the nickname and avatar you choose. By using an online feature you give us permission to display that nickname and avatar to other players and on the leaderboard, and to store them for as long as your player record exists.
Please remember that your nickname and avatar are visible to strangers in multiplayer and on the leaderboard. Do not put personal information in them.
If you use the AI cat avatar feature you may upload one photo. You confirm that it is your own photo, or that you have the consent of everyone in it — and of their guardian if they are a minor — and you agree that we may process it as described in the Privacy Policy, including sending it to our third-party AI image service so that a stylised cat avatar can be produced. Please do not upload photos of minors. A generated avatar is stored on our server as described in the Privacy Policy, becomes visible to other players only after our review, and any player can report one to us from inside the game. Section 8 applies to it in full.
In multiplayer, if a player disconnects the AI takes over their faction so the match can finish. Match commands are relayed through our server to the players in the same room; we do not keep them as a permanent record of your behaviour.
10. Our Content
The game's artwork, characters, music, sound, code, text and name — including the "Cats War" name and its logo — belong to us or our licensors. These Terms give you a licence to play, not any ownership of the game.
11. Availability, Changes and Termination
We may update, change or remove features, rebalance the game, or suspend the online services (for maintenance, for cost reasons, or because we stop supporting the game). Single-player mode does not depend on our servers.
Online features are provided on a best-effort basis and may be interrupted or unavailable. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
You may stop using the game at any time by uninstalling it. We may terminate this licence if you materially breach these Terms.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The game is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law, including fitness for a particular purpose and freedom from defects.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss of in-game progress. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing here limits the mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the developer is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
14. Changes to These Terms
If these Terms change, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Continued play after a change means you accept the updated Terms. Significant changes will also be announced in-game or on the store listing.

2. 服务内容
Cats War 是一款 Android 平台的免费即时战略游戏，可以完全在您自己的设备上与电脑对手对战。可选的线上功能（每日挑战排行榜、多人对局、游戏内广告服务）需要网络连接。
本游戏免费游玩，不购买任何内容也能完整享受游戏；另提供少量可选的一次性购买（见第 6 节）。无需注册账号。
3. 您获得的授权
我们授予您一项个人的、非独占的、不可转让的、可撤回的授权，让您在自有或控制的设备上安装并游玩本游戏，仅供您个人非商业娱乐之用。
您不得：出售、出租、再授权或商业利用本游戏；复制、修改、反向工程或反编译本游戏（法律禁止此类限制的情形除外）；散布本游戏或其任何素材；或以违反法律的方式使用本游戏。
4. 玩家身份与账号
首次游玩时，游戏会在您的设备上生成玩家编号与设备标识。这些是随机代码，不含姓名、电子信箱或电话号码。它们的存在，是为了让排行榜成立，并且让您的喵币余额无法借由修改本机存档被重置。
使用 Google Play Games 登录完全可选。若您选择登录，我们会把您的 Play Games 玩家 ID 与上述玩家编号绑定，让您更换手机或重新安装后能接回同一份排行榜记录。您可以随时在玩家档案画面解除绑定。
您有责任保管好自己的设备。任何能使用您设备的人，都能以您的身分游玩。
5. 喵币与游戏内物品
喵币由游玩获得，于每局结算时发放；难度越高、局时越长、多人胜局拿得越多。部分可选购买会改变您的喵币收益，或包含一次性的喵币赠送（见第 6 节）。
喵币是一种使用许可，不是财产。它不具金钱价值，无法兑换现金、无法在玩家之间转移，也无法在游戏之外兑现。它不构成存款或预付款。
- 技能是「租用」而非「买断」。被动技能租用 24 小时、主动技能租用 3 次。租期或用尽次数到期后，技能会自行失效；它不是永久购买，也永远不会自动续扣或再次向您收费。
- 喵币与技能绑定您的玩家身份。若您请求删除账号（见隐私政策），剩余余额与租用中的技能将一并删除且无法恢复。
- 为了维持游戏平衡，我们可能调整喵币发放量、价格与技能效果。若某项变更会实质减损您已经付费取得的内容，我们会在游戏内或商店页面公告。
6. 购买
本游戏免费游玩，并提供少量可选的一次性应用内购买。它们都是「买一次、永久持有」的非消耗型礼包：一个永久移除插屏广告的礼包（并让您在结算后无需观看广告即可领取双倍喵币）、一个永久让喵币收益翻倍的礼包，以及一个包含上述全部内容的组合包，另附一次性 1000 喵币与若干次 AI 头像生成。本游戏没有订阅，任何内容都不会自动续扣或再次向您收费。
所有交易均由 Google Play 帐单系统依 Google 的条款处理，我们永远不会取得您的卡号或任何付款信息。购买经由您的 Google 账号完成并绑定该账号。由于 Google Play 没有自动「补差价」机制，若您已持有其中较小的礼包，组合包会以另一个折抵您已付金额的升级购买形式提供，使您为组合包付出的总额等于其原价。退款由 Google Play 依其退款政策处理 —— 我们无法直接为您退款。法律赋予您的法定解除权，不因本条款而受影响。
7. 广告
本游戏显示由 Google AdMob 提供的广告。是否与广告互动完全由您决定：结算后观看奖励广告可让该局的喵币翻倍，不看也不会少拿任何东西。若您持有免广告礼包，无需观看广告即可领取同样的双倍喵币，也不会看到插屏广告；其他玩家的插页广告最多每三局出现一次。
广告是让本游戏得以免费的原因。在法律要求的情况下，我们会在载入个性化广告前征求您的同意，您也可以拒绝。涉及的数据与重设广告 ID 的方法，请见隐私政策。
8. 使用规范
线上功能与其他玩家共用。您同意不从事下列行为：
- 在每日挑战排行榜上作弊、使用修改版客户端、机器人或伪造的回放文件，或以其他方式伪造成绩；
- 利用程式错误取得优势，而不是回报给我们；
- 使用违法、仇恨、色情、毁谤的昵称或头像，或冒充他人及我们的团队；
- 骚扰其他玩家，或刻意破坏多人对局（例如反复断线以避免败局）；
- 攻击、超载、探测我们的服务器，或取得未经授权的存取。
若我们有合理理由认为上述规则被违反，可能移除排行榜记录、重置成绩，或暂停您使用线上功能的权限。在可行的范围内，我们会告知原因。
9. 您的创作与其他玩家
您所选择的昵称与头像仍归您所有。使用线上功能时，您授权我们向其他玩家及排行榜显示该昵称与头像，并在您的玩家记录存续期间加以保存。
请记得，在多人对局与排行榜上，您的昵称与头像会被陌生人看见，请勿在其中放入个人信息。
若您使用 AI 猫咪化头像功能，您可以上传一张照片。您确认这是您本人的照片，或您已取得照片中所有人的同意 —— 当事人为未成年人时含其监护人同意 —— 并同意我们依《隐私政策》所述处理该照片，包括将其转送我们的第三方 AI 图像服务以制作猫咪化头像。请不要上传未成年人的照片。生成的头像会依《隐私政策》所述存放在我们的服务器上，且必须经我们复核后其他玩家才会看到；任何玩家都可以在游戏内检举。第 8 节的规定对它完全适用。
多人对局中若有人断线，AI 会接管他的势力，让该局得以打完。对局指令会经由我们的服务器转送给同一房间的玩家；我们不会把它们留作您行为的永久记录。
10. 我们的内容
本游戏的美术、角色、音乐、音效、程式、文字与名称（包括「Cats War」名称与其标志）属于我们或我们的授权人。本条款授予您的是游玩授权，而非游戏的任何所有权。
11. 服务可用性、变更与终止
我们可能更新、变更或移除功能、调整游戏平衡，或暂停线上服务（因维护、成本考量，或我们不再支援本游戏）。单机模式不依赖我们的服务器。
线上功能以「尽力而为」的方式提供，可能中断或无法使用。我们不承诺服务不中断或无错误。
您可以随时解除安装以停止使用本游戏。若您重大违反本条款，我们可能终止本授权。
12. 免责声明与责任限制
在法律允许的最大范围内，本游戏以「现况」提供，不附带任何形式的保证，包括特定用途适用性与无瑕疵的保证。
在法律允许的范围内，我们不对间接或衍生性损失、数据遗失或游戏进度遗失负责。本条款不排除依法不得排除的责任，且不限制您依居住国法律享有的强制性消费者权利。
13. 准据法
本条款依开发者设立地的法律解释与适用，不适用其法律冲突规则。若您为消费者，您同时享有居住国法律的强制性规定保障，并可在当地法院提起诉讼。
14. 本条款的变更
若本条款变更，我们会更新本页并修订上方的生效日期。变更后继续游玩，即视为您接受更新后的条款。重大变更也会在游戏内或商店页面公告。

8. 使用規範
線上功能與其他玩家共用。您同意不從事下列行為：

13. 準據法
本條款依開發者設立地的法律解釋與適用，不適用其法律衝突規則。若您為消費者，您同時享有居住國法律的強制性規定保障，並可在當地法院提起訴訟。
14. 本條款的變更
若本條款變更，我們會更新本頁並修訂上方的生效日期。變更後繼續遊玩，即視為您接受更新後的條款。重大變更也會在遊戲內或商店頁面公告。
