Cats War Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 30, 2026 | App: Cats War (package com.mini.catswar)

This Privacy Policy explains how the developer handles user data in the game "Cats War". Please read it before playing.

1. Developer

This game is developed and operated by the individual developer Watermelon Studio.

2. Data We Collect

The game is fully playable without any account registration. We only process data in the following cases:

• Kept on your device only (the app's private storage, never uploaded): game settings, single-player progress, skills, and avatar records.
• Meow coin balance and purchase records (uploaded to our server): to stop coin farming by editing local save files and to verify in-app purchases, your meow coin balance, coin ledger entries (battle payouts, quest rewards, skill purchases, in-app purchases) and purchase tokens are uploaded to our own server, keyed to a device identifier (a random code generated on your device that contains no name, email or phone number). If you link Google Play Games from the player profile, you can recover your balance on another device.
• How to delete this data: email giantbbbbbb@gmail.com to request account deletion; we will remove the server-side coin balance, ledger entries, purchase records and device identifier (purchase records we are legally required to keep are excluded; daily backups rotate out within 14 days).
• Daily Challenge leaderboard (optional feature; uploaded): when you finish a Daily Challenge, the game uploads your in-game nickname, avatar index, the 10-digit player number generated on your device, and your time to our own leaderboard server so ranks can be shown. If your time provisionally ranks in the day's top 100, a replay file of that run is also uploaded so the server can re-run it for verification (anti-cheat / anti-impersonation).
• Multiplayer matches (optional feature; uploaded): when connected, your nickname, avatar, and in-match commands are relayed through our server to the players in the same room.
• AI cat avatar photo (optional feature; needs AI avatar credits; uploaded): if you use AI AVATAR from the player profile, you choose one photo through the system photo picker — the app receives only that single file and cannot browse your photo library. The photo goes to our own server, where it is held in memory only and never written to our disk, and is then handed to a third-party AI image service (see section 4) which fetches it directly and turns it into a stylised cat avatar; the original photo is discarded as soon as generation ends. Before uploading, the game asks you to confirm that it is your own photo, or that you have the consent of the person in it (including their guardian if that person is a minor), and asks you not to upload photos of minors. The generated cat avatar is kept on our server until you delete it in the game or request account deletion (section 6), and other players see it only after our review.
• Google Play Games sign-in (entirely optional): if you tap SIGN IN in the Player Profile, Google provides us with your Play Games player ID and display name, which we link to the player number above so that a new phone or a reinstall connects back to the same leaderboard history (earlier scores are merged automatically). Every feature works without signing in.
• We do not ask for or collect your real name, email, phone number, address, contacts, or location, and we do not read them from your device. The one exception is voluntary: if you yourself type such details into the optional feedback box described below, we will receive what you wrote — please do not include sensitive personal information there (the same goes for anything visible in a screenshot you attach).
• In-game feedback (optional feature; uploaded): if you send feedback from inside the game, the text you write, the category you choose, and technical context (app version, device model, Android version, language) will be sent to our own server so we can read it and fix what it points at. Sending feedback is entirely optional and nothing in the game depends on it. You may also attach up to 2 screenshots of the game itself; they are captured by the app from its own screen, so the game never asks for access to your photo library, camera or storage. Feedback and its screenshots are kept until you ask us to delete them, and for at most 24 months otherwise; they are removed together with your account through the route in section 6.
• App usage events (our own analytics) (uploaded): to understand how the game is used and to find the points where players get stuck, the game sends a small set of usage events to our own server — for example that the app was launched, that a battle started or ended (with its mode and result), that the shop was opened, that a product button was tapped or a purchase completed, that an ad was shown or the reward of a rewarded ad was granted, that a daily or quest reward was claimed, or that a challenge score was submitted. Each event carries only the event's name, the time it happened, your app version and language setting, and a few simple values such as which product or slot was involved. These events are keyed to the same player number described above and contain no advertising ID, no precise location, no photos, no contacts and no free text. They are stored on our own server (Singapore), used only for aggregate measurement (never to serve or target ads, and never to build a profile about you), not shared with any third party, kept for at most 180 days, and deleted when you request account deletion (section 6). This game uses no third-party analytics SDK.
• Processed by the advertising SDK: IP address, device and advertising identifiers (Advertising ID), ad interactions (impressions/clicks), app activity, and network state, used to deliver and measure ads;
• We do not ourselves track your activity across other apps or websites (cross-app behaviour is handled by the advertising SDK under its own policies).

3. Permissions

This game uses network access (INTERNET: Daily Challenge leaderboard, multiplayer, and ad loading), the advertising ID (AD_ID: used by the advertising SDK; you can reset or delete it in your device settings), and the Google Play billing permission (com.android.vending.BILLING: needed for the optional in-app purchases described in section 4; it gives us no access to your payment details). It does not request sensitive permissions such as location, camera, microphone, contacts, or storage. The screenshots you may attach to feedback are captured by the game itself from its own screen, and no photo-library or camera permission is involved. For the AI avatar feature you pick a photo through the Android system photo picker, which hands the app that one photo only — again with no photo-library, camera or storage permission requested or granted.

4. Third-Party Services

This game integrates Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) to show interstitial and rewarded ads. AdMob processes IP address, device/advertising identifiers, ad interactions, and app activity — see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Where required by law (e.g. the EEA, UK, Switzerland), we ask for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before ads are loaded, and you may decline personalised advertising; you can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings at any time.

AI cat avatar generation: the AI avatar feature described in section 2 sends your photo to a third-party AI image service — WorkBuddy (Tencent Cloud), whose privacy policy is at workbuddy.ai/document/privacy-policy — which processes it only to generate the stylised cat avatar, on our instructions. Its policy states that it stores that input and the generated output for up to 14 days on its servers, and that its support, engineering and other teams — including teams from the PRC — may access it; those servers are located in Singapore. We ourselves keep no copy of your original photo (section 2); the generated avatar that we keep is described in section 6.

Apart from the services described in this section (advertising, AI cat avatar generation, and Google Play for billing and sign-in), and apart from our own usage events described in section 2, this game integrates no other third-party analytics or tracking SDKs and does not sell your data to third parties.

If you choose to use Google Play Games sign-in, that sign-in is provided by Google Play Games Services and your account information is handled under Google's Privacy Policy (we only receive the player ID and display name described above). You can unlink at any time by tapping UNLINK in the game. The Daily Challenge leaderboard and multiplayer run on our own server (Singapore), not on a third-party service.

In-app purchases: the game offers a small number of optional in-app purchases — packs that permanently remove interstitial ads, permanently double the meow coins you earn, or grant everything at once (including a one-off 1000 meow coins and a number of AI avatar creations). All transactions are handled by Google Play Billing — we never receive your card number or any payment information. We receive and store only the purchase result (product ID, order/transaction ID, purchase token, purchase state and time) so that we can verify the purchase with Google, deliver what you bought, restore your purchases on a new device and handle refunds. Those records are deleted when you request account deletion, except for transaction records we must retain by law (e.g. tax). Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own refund policy.

5. Children's Privacy

This game does not knowingly collect any personal data from children under 13. It is not directed at children (it is not part of Google Play's Designed for Families programme) and ads are not targeted at children. The AI avatar feature asks users not to upload photos of minors; if you are a parent and believe a child's data has been handled inappropriately — including a photo or a generated avatar — please contact us and we will remove it.

6. Data Retention and Deletion (including account deletion)

This section applies to Cats War (package com.mini.catswar, developer Watermelon Studio). To delete your game data or your game identity (account):

1. Data on your device: clear the app's data in your device settings, or uninstall the game — deleted permanently and immediately (we keep no copy).
2. Records on our server (nickname, avatar index, player number, daily-challenge times, the app usage events described in section 2, any in-game feedback you have sent (including contact details you chose to put in it and any screenshots you attached), any AI cat avatars generated from your photos, and the Google Play Games player ID you linked, if any): email giantbbbbbb@gmail.com with the subject "Delete account" and include your in-game player number (copy it from the player profile popup). We will delete that record and the Google account link within 30 days of receiving the request.

Retention: the server records above are kept until you request deletion (to keep the leaderboard consistent and to prevent impersonation). Daily backups are kept for at most 14 days and rotate out automatically, so a deletion request is fully effective after at most 14 days. In-game feedback and any screenshots attached to it are kept for at most 24 months, or until you request deletion, whichever comes first. AI cat avatars you generated are kept on our server until you delete them in the game (the DELETE button on the AI avatar screen) or request deletion here; deleting one also removes it from what other players are shown. Your original photo is not kept by us — the copy held by the AI service is subject to the 14-day window in section 4. The app usage events described in section 2 are kept for at most 180 days, and are removed earlier if you request account deletion through the route above. Tapping UNLINK in the game only removes the Google account link immediately; it does not delete scores already uploaded to the leaderboard — use the email route above if you want those removed too.

7. Changes to This Policy

If the game's data handling ever changes (for example, adding third-party services), we will update this page and revise the effective date. Significant changes will also be announced in-game or on the store listing.
